Hi everyone... as promised here are dissemination notes from #rUnNGO's second projects of 2019, "Heartbeart of Career". Heartbeat of career, was a career development training program for #educators from #Latvia, #Estonia, #Poland, #Ukraine, #Turkey and #Belarus.

The three main topics of this training we're, career development, #entrepreneurship and the relationship building.

Let's look at each Topic in turn.

#Career_development It doesn't matter whether you're at the beginning ng of your career, middle of your career or on the other end of your career. Career development is essential. We gauge our successfulness by our career.

The #Training gave is an opportunity to reflect on our own career and link that to our hobbies, our passions and our dreams.

Idris, one of the trainers, who is also part of the " #Start_Strong" program, guided the participants through this delicate part of the training. this part was the best part for me because it made me realise that I was underachieving in my current life situation. I'm an English teacher as you already know and my passions are social media and marketing. this ties in nicely with the second topic,

Many of us don't realise what the true definition entrepreneur really is that we are all basically entrepreneurs at heart. As a social media marketer, I find myself in many different entrepreneurial situations. This part of the training, gave me an opportunity to explore that part my business. It was hard for me to grasp, that as well as my teaching I could also follow my passion and make that my career too. Do I hear a "dilemma question?" For those that don't know the dilemma phrase. The dilemma question is part of a series of coaching techniques Lauma, our second trainer, introduced. It basically allowed the coachee to look at all sides of a situation and allow us to reach a gradual, derivative, conclusion.

So for me, heartbeat of career was a model of what my life could and should be like, without the stuck states or the could have, should have, would have scenarios.

#Relationship_building As the third and final part of the training, relationship building is often taken for granted. We assume that career building should be building relationships as we go along, but in fact, we should be proactive, in the building of our relationships. Seek them out and actively looking for opportunities.

During the training we were encouraged to find people of the same or similar passions, get together and create a potential project or partnership. This gave us an opportunity to ask advice from our neighbors, to look at ways that we could collaborate.

By the time the project had ended, people had walked away with not only connections, collaborations, friendships and project partnerships, they also walked away with new insight and hope.

One last thought. On our journey, we expect to make new friends and acquaintances and i'd like to add that its just as important to reignite the friendships that have already been made. I had one such rekindling. My old friend and mentor, Lauma.

We have been on many warm, fuzzy, transcendental, rollercoaster rides since our first meeting in Estonia several years ago.

rUnNGO's first project could be described as the honeymoon in y NGO's existence and you would not be far wrong in thinking that any subsequent training or partnership opportunity would pale into the shade, but Heartbeat of Career felt like a booster for the final quarter of 2019 for so many different reasons.

Finally, the big, big question. Was this a project worthy of rUnNGO's efforts? The answer is a resounding yes.

Keep an eye out for rUnNGO's self-made project, "We can be heroes: me and you"
